The Ronnie D. Joyner Show

T

o all clergy and those who like great “God Talk” join me daily from 10AM-1PM eastern on www.HotJoyRadio.com and HotJoy TV (www.Livestream.com/hjoy) for The Ronnie D. Joyner Show Theologically, “hermeneutic” is the science of interpretation.  We will Interpret our day from a righteous perspective covering Faith, Family, Economics, The Medical and The Political. This interactive forum will build the listener as we advance a dialogue which produces education, edification and encouragement.

The Faith – Whether (ay-moon’ or em-oo-naw’ in Hebrew-Deut. 32:20; Hab. 2:4) (ol-ig-op’-is-toe or pis’tis in Greek-Mat. 6:30; Lu. 17:5) we will examine and seek to interpret the acts and reactions of our day from this righteous perspective.

The FamilyAccording to recent federal poverty guidelines, the poverty level changes depending on the number of people per family in the 48 contiguous states and Washington, D.C. ~ A person making $10,830 as an annual income is considered in poverty. A two member family is considered in poverty if they make $14,570 per year, $18,310 for a family of three, $22,050 for a family of four, $25,790 for a family of five, $29,530 for a family of six, $33,270 for a family of seven and  $37,010 for a family of 8. For families with more than eight persons, add $3,740 for each additional person. We shall use The Family Legacy Ministry for our monthly focus as we seek the remedy for family wholeness from a righteous perspective!

The EconomicManagement and Stewardship are two key words.  They originate out of the Greek term oy-kon-om-eh’-o and mean to take care, in the instance of a house or an estate. They also have reference to being the caretaker of that dwelling, its manager or overseer. Both are fiscal terms and have to do with the area of the Economics of that house or estate which is the expending of the necessary funds to properly run that house or estate. What does righteousness say during this economic season we a passing through NOW?

The MedicalIII John 2 serves as our primary righteous principle. Our “soul” is the essence of our person.  Here the “wish” (yoo’-khom-ahee) is that all of our health as a people be based on the health of our souls. We are only as healthy as our spiritual and physical intelligence.  Care for our bodies is a spiritual requirement.  The Word of God must be channeled through a healthy body. What are the righteous directives to be followed? Monthly, we will explore them!

The Legal/Political LifeII Chronicles 15:1-8 serves as our righteous basis. This text speaks to the actions taken by God when the community no longer regarded Him as their only God.  No segment of life is exempt from influences which tend to leave God out. Is God out of the legal/political today? We believe that a person must be aware of the standards of righteousness in light of our legal/political responsibilities.  Business as well as economic and social advancement require legal soundness. Maintaining this quality of life in our personal and family life must be a priority from a righteous perspective.

Tune in Monday – Friday and let us reason through righteousness as we search for The Hermeneutic on The Ronnie D. Joyner Show!

The Vision, Victory and Kingdom Of I AM-Matt. 16:1-19

Here is the true Power of Poll Taking. Matthew 16:1-19 is one of the greatest aquisition of opinions or poll taking, even in scripture. The “greatness” is found in the lessons Jesus teaches. The Pharisees and Sadducees receives a “Hypocrite” declaration from Jesus because He said they failed to discern the “signs of the times”, verses 3,4. Discernment is important in the eyes of Jesus, the lesson, lack of discernment denotes being out of touch with life from the perspective of God. Jesus interacts with His disciples in verses 5-12. Verse 6 states Jesus’ primary focus, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.” The word leven is a Jewish metaphor for an evil influence. The Lesson, don’t live your life from the Pharisee or Saducee point of view. Both of these religious groups believed that “life was best lived based on a series of outward actions and forget that what matters is the state of a man’s heart.” (Barclay, p. 132).

What is the use of opinion polls? Wikipedia says an opinion poll is a survey of public opinion from a particular sample. Opinion polls are usually designed to represent the opinions of a population by conducting a series of questions and then extrapolating generalities in ratio or within confidence intervals. Poll taking is a pivotal information gathering system which has been employed in acquiring opinions for years. Jesus uses two questions as an information gathering system. He first asked what do others say about me. According to His disciples, others are saying that they think he reflects someone of the prophetic line … their answer, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets“. Without comment, He went on to the next more intimate and direct question to the disciples. Why didn’t He comment? Well, He asked an “I AM” Question, but they gave him answers which reflected the past-in keeping with the Caesarea Philippi setting, relics of the past and the prophets, people of the past.

I believe Jesus was more interested with “present” identity definitions. In my opinion, this is the implication of His direct question to the disciples, “Who do you say that I Am ?” This is a question to the heart of the disciples, which warranted an answer from their heart. Out of the voice of “Mr. Passionate” Peter, the answer He was looking for was stated, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” A bit of analysis of I AM. Grammatically speaking, I Am is in the present person indicative and represents the state and essence of an individual or in this instance Deity. Unlike Pan or any other god, Jesus affirms his being in the truth of His ontology when He refers to himself as I Am. Additionally, Jesus’ heavenly Father affirmed the family name when he answered Moses’ question at the inception of The Exodus in Ex. 3:13-15, “Then Moses said to God, ‘Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” And God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM.’ And He said, ‘Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you’. Moreover God said to Moses, ‘Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations'” NKJV.

The true Jesus TODAY authenticates His existence in places berefthed with tsunamies, earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, wars, political divides, unemployment, poverty, blurred futures and many “flesh and blood” but unallowed I AM stations of life.

  • The Vision of IAM is to become the WHO people presently are not realizing in their questionbable settings today! “Who do men say that I, the Son of man, am?
  • The Victory of I AM is to become the Revelation of God out of the flesh and blood dominated places and spaces of living! “Blessed are you, … for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven”.
  • The Kingdom of I AM is the fulfillment of the Seventh Trumpet, “Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The Kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” Rev. 11:15 NKJV

I am interested in your feedback, How do you view the impact of I Am in world events today?

This final setting is quite conducive for teaching, it is in Caesarea Philippi. Geographically, Caesarea Philippi is located about 25 miles NE of the Sea of Galilee. Thomson highlights that no fewer than 14 temples of the ancient Syrian Baal Gods were noted, along with being the birthplace of the god of nature, Pan (Panias) and even the homeland of Emperor worship. Herod the Great built a great white marble temple to the godhead of Caesar. Later, it was Philip, Herod’s son, who further beautifies and enriched the temple, changed the name of Panias to Caesarea, Caesar’s town and added his own name Philippi to distinguish it from Caesarea on the coasts of the Mediterranean. Later, Herod Agrippa called the place Neroneas in honor of the Emperor Nero, (Barclay, p.134,135). It was in this context that Jesus asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man am?”

31 Days of Biblical Empowerment (Helping To Build Your Family Legacy)

Day 5 Jesus is the Christ

He is God come to us in flesh. He comes as our Suffering Servant and King. Jesus says ~ All that I did for those in Galilee and in Jerusalem, I offer to do for you. Be forgiven, healed, set free and empowered with My Holy Spirit. Enter into me, the narrow way and be a part of my Kingdom present and Kingdom coming. As Christ, I Am also your personal Anointed One which shall supply you with your special anointing. “She said to Him, ‘yes, Lord; I have believed that you are the Christ, the Son of God, even He who comes into the world'” John 11:27.

Today’s Prayer: Father, we thank you for your Son Jesus, Our Christ and Lord. Through our personal periods of suffering, we seek thy Kingdom. We accept your forgiveness, your healing, our new freedom in you and your precious Holy Spirit. We enter into you, live in you and thrive in life and living because of you. Make us complete and whole on this day and we shall forever give your name praise, honor and glory, Amen.

“Therefore my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your lobor is not in vain in the Lord” I Cor.15:58 NKJV.

Jobs, The Poor and Recapturing The Covenant Spirit

I am fascinated when I read Acts 2:41-47 and Acts 4:32-35. With all of the political debate, divided country and the “someone to blame” USA, these two spiritual reminders are so refreshing. Acts 2:41-47 says, http://www.bibleway.com/audio/mclean/niv/Acts.2.41-Acts.2.47 and Acts 4:32-35 says, http://www.bibleway.com/audio/mclean/niv/Acts.4.32-Acts.4.35 . Here are indications of the image of a ladder being formed to help each other up and clapped hands helping each other out. This Covenant Community thrived from a prevailing “doctrine” and “fellowship”-Acts 2: 42, as well as a “belief” that prevailed in a “oneness of heart and soul”-Acts 4:32.

An economic framework was operative within this community as well and eradicated “lack”, “they sold their possessions, both landed property and their movable goods” (Amplified Bible). Perao is the greek term which literally means “to dispose of merchandise, to sell.” Seemingly there were no mortgage companies straining people. Those of this covenant community were noted as a contributing and distributing people. They focused on securing the lifestyle of those who were a part of it. Needs were taken care of by the whole. They worked for the welfare of each other. They helped each other stay on their feet.

Today, when something is sold, the profit is usually kept by the seller. Seldom do many sell land, property, a house, or some other sellable commodity and contribute the proceeds to help others in need. Although, some thoughtful people do make allowance for this through wills, memorials or other bequeathals. But here, we have a while we live, let’s live for each other spirit. This is the New Testament version of a Welfare System. It is an Affirmative Action System which affirms the dignity of each individual to live in a strong, spiritually enhancing environment. This is a strong statement. It suggests that the community should be covenant-minded and live for those as well as with those who comprised the makeup of the community. These people liquidated assets to meet internal needs so that external needs could be met. They built themselves up first so that the next step was to pass this strength on to others.

The question of this blog post is, Can such a Covenant Spirit work in the USA today? The Poor is pto-khos’ and emphasizes distressed and straitened circumstances. Who are the poor today? The US Census Bureau recently reported that the poverty rate — the percentage of people living in poverty is at about 13.2% today, about 39.8 million Americans. The government defines poverty as an annual income of $22,025 for a family of four, $17,163 for a family of three and $14,051 for a family of two. Out of a U.S. population of 309,162,581 and 39.8 million Americans living in poverty, this computes to 1 out of every 8 persons in America are living in poverty.

Consequences of poverty are highlighted in everyone of our communities: broken hearted families, economic captives, futures have been blinded by the devastations, our plans have been bruised and many are suffering from the wraps of hopelessness. The answer is present, but how many will accept such a Covenant Spirit, especially since many say that our nation is built on Christian Principles.

So, with unemployment at 9.1%, homes under water, foreclosure rates at all time highs, do you think some readjustment to our values will allow such a Covenant Spirit to prevail? What do you think? Hit me back.

Six Steps Toward Building A Prosperous Family Legacy

By: Ronnie D. Joyner, D.Min.

While everyone of us were born into a family, many of our families are built on negative foundations. Nuances of both positive and negative family foundations  are bilbically highlighted in Matthew 7:24-27~“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. Now everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” (NKJV)

It is my position that building your family’s legacy on the guidance offered by Jesus in verses 24 and 25 is the prosperous route to take:

L~Liberation From Legacy Killers
Biblical Instruction
Financial Intelligence

E~Edifying Education That Nourishes A Brighter Future
The Walk of a Family Member – Ephesians 4:1-3

G~Gather Liberating Knowledge Which Creates Legacy Wholeness
Debt Liquidation and Consumer Education
Home Ownership
Investment Basics and Insurance Education
Technology As A Resource

A~Add Four Streams of Income To Your Family’s Economy

The Gihon Stream – Genesis 2:13
The Tigris Stream – Genesis 2:14
The Euphrates Stream – Genesis 2:14

C~Create A Christ Centered Worship For Your Legacy’s Pursuit

Five Biblical Directives That Will Change Your Personal Economy

The Bible has answers for every problem.  Today, many are distressed and seeking to get through these straitened circumstances. Luke 4:18a says “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor…”KJV. Poor, according to a recent U.S. Census reports that 1 out of every 8 persons in America are living in poverty, 39.8 million persons out of 309,162,581.

The best “good news” each of these neighbors of ours should hear is an answer to their straitened condition.  Lost your job, house in foreclosure , IRS sending levy letters, are you like the 400 friends and family members in I Samuel 22:1,2~in debt, distressed and discontented. Here are Five Biblical Directives That Will Change Your Personal Economy!

I have found I Chronicles 16:29 to be an excellent text in creating the initial 3 biblical directives. Mark 1:35-45 will highlight the 4th one and Acts 11:26 stipulates the 5th.

A.      “Give unto the Lord the glory due his name: bring an offering and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness” KJV.

  1. “Give unto the Lord the glory due his name”~In that God has given you another day, start it out with a Glory Response!
  2. Return your thanks with Glory (haw-lal’) which means to say thank you, to rave, to praise or to celebrate!

B.      “Bring an offering and come before him”~ “Min-khaw” in this instance represents a sacrificial offering brought to God.

  1. As a practice in creating an offering, the animals were fed a nutritional diet so they could be used as an offering.
  2. In addition to celebrating The Lord’s Supper each morning an offering of $3.40 is a minimum offering requested through private worship in accordance with the verse. More could be sown by the worshiper.
  3. The planting of $3.40 daily will become $102 after 30 days. $50 equates to a Jubilee Seed. Jubilee is our quest. The remainder $52 may be used according to your discretion. Leviticus 25 outlines the covenant teaching preventing overworking the land, calls for regular land redistribution and negated the perpetuation of servitude.  According to Deut. 15:4, an additional Jubilee teaching, these actions were intended to eliminate poverty. The Sowing of this Jubilee Seed will be into the (P.F.S.C.) Philadelphia Fellowship Stewardship Campaign (for members) and Partaker Family Stewardship Campaign for non-members).

C.      “Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness”

This act of Private Worship makes a holy statement~”this is my personal attentiveness toward God”.

  1. Private Worship provides access to the beauty of God’s holiness. Beauty had-aw-raw’ is an adverb and indicates the quality of my worship. In this instance, you will derive out of worship how you approach Him in worship.
  2. This consecrated and dedicated prompting will derive a beautiful response.  The directive says, desire a more beautiful lifestyle as that perfecting outcome.

D.      Practice A Key Function in the life of Jesus – Mark 1:35

Mark 1:35 says, “Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place, and there He prayed”NKJV.

  1. Early in the morning during Shacharit – (from shachar, meaning morning light). The Priesthood of Prayer~Starting your day from the Sanctity of the Altar. From 6am – 7am eastern. Seek God before you get out into the workplace, the school house and the world village. Come, go to heaven before you go any other place. Start you day on your knees before you take one step.
  2. Mark 1:39-45
    1. V. 39, Ridding your life of negating demons
    2. V. 40, Seek cleansing from leprous financial limitations
    3. V. 41, Accept Jesus’ Response
    4. V. 42, Accept the Change
    5. V. 43, 44 Align the act here with 2c.
    6. V. 45, When disobedience spurns evangelism

    E.             A.     “And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch” NKJV.

B.      The 12 Month Family Legacy Ministry and Institute is a Christian Education Ministry that sets before families the Eden Value System which is derived from God’s Original Plan (Gen. 1:26-31; 2:7-25). The Institute’s Curriculum is derived from the letters that spell F.A.M.I.L.Y. and develops the first six month themes along with the Christian Calendar that highlight the life of Christ.  The second six months carry six principles of Kwanzaa:

The Learning and Loving of the Family

Deuteronomy 6 is one of, if not the greatest family teaching texts in all of the Bible.  It is the primary construct upon which a family should be built.  Moses opens the construct with these words, “now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it…”   There are three foundational elements in this verse alone which are key in the analysis before us, the Commandments, the Statutes and the Judgments.

Commandments are of  unique importance to our theme.  They are outer orations that build inner discipline.  A Commandment, tsaw-vaw in the Hebrew mean to constitute, enjoin, appoint, bid or to give a charge.  Other biblical references, with commanding implications, give rise to the definitions above ~ Deut. 11:18; 32:46; Ps. 37:31; 40:8; 119:11, 98; Prov. 3:3; and Isa.51:7.

Secondly, let us consider the Statutes.  It is the middle injunction to be adhered to. It seems to connect Commandments and Judgments and allows them to pivot upon it.  Statutes, Khoke in the Hebrew, suggests an enactment of rules and regulations, hence an appointment (of time, space, quantity, labor or usage) that should be followed.

Thirdly, Judgments round out our analysis of learning and loving of the family. Mish-pawt’ in the Hebrew, it suggests  favorable or unfavorable judicial decrees. It is a tremendous benefit for you to read this entire 6th Chapter, read it in one of the contemporary English versions. The instruction carry blessings your family will greatly benefit from.

Our times are moving so swift, we need strong and enabling inspiration anchoring us. Recent storms and tornadoes in North Carolina and 6 other states serve as great examples. One moment life was normal, then a few minutes later, life in the abnormal. Do you have a consistent relationship with your family members and friends that can help you in these swiftly transitioning periods?

Practical Commandments are needed today, proper practical statutes with empowering judgments will gives us insights for  wisdom.  It is in these judgments that our discipline is found. The lack of this discipline will demoralize us. Without them, persons have a difficult time adjusting to the abnormal. Resulting in the proliferating factors of anger, assessing blame and without foundation, making wrong decisions in search for a new answer. We see these traits in the political, social and economic scene today, not only in the USA, but throughout the world.  The pictures of Egypt, Yemen, Libya and other African and Middle Eastern countries are examples.

I believe we need the pure understanding of commandments which build individual covenants with God and give rise to family unity and the true unity which build communities. I believe we also need statutes which keeps us stable in times when we face the abnormal. We then need judicious judgments that has a relearning factor attached.  This triad revolves around the learning and loving of God in each of us. We begin to see Him and the him and her of our biological and societal families, Dr. Martin Luther King called it “The Beloved Community”.

Would you take time during this Month to do at least Five Things Which will enhance your household and community?

1. Make Deuteronomy 6 Your Reading For the Month!

2. Configure the 25 Verses to be completed by the end of the Month and coordinate activities to mirror biological and community enhancements.

3. Take a neighbor or neighborhood family out to lunch or dinner.

4. Rid the month of Commandment, Statutes and Judgment breakers.

5. Discuss the verses and determine to adhere to their correction.

God Bless you and let’s have a great month of

Learning and Loving!
